A TOUR TO THE RAJPUTANA Chapter-3
"Tera vaibhav sada amar rhe maa, hum din chaar rhein na rhein" - May your grandeur forever remain alive Mother(Land), we may live for four days or not live.
Chapter 3
Birds chirping with the little waves of the lake water thrashing against the platform, sound melodious. Talking of the tourists here, only we three are present, it feels as if a beautiful place like this is hidden from the rest of the world. I feel this is what is called heaven on earth. The sky is so clear and blue with the white structures and the blocks of greenery, as I walk past the paths I feel more and more enthralled and tied. Paradise in dreams? This is what it is.
The cenotaph is present at the centre. It is topped over by a small Shivalinga and further on it lies a sculpture of a five-headed snake.
I am a little shy person, an introvert sometimes, succumbing to it I decide to pray secretly under my breath to pay respects to the brave lover of freedom.
The Cenotaph
After the episode of Chawand, we are here at the cenotaph of Maharana Pratap. This place is built over a vast area on a lake named Kejad. Though the cenotaph lies where he was cremated, and is ancient, the place was later built in the 1900s. The large area is made with chhattris of white marble carved in typical Rajasthani style. Every corner has greenery embedded and this place where I am standing is a place of complete solace and tranquillity.

Having done so, again we walk past the greenery and the whiteness back to the exit gate with me being satisfied with myself, I breathe out sighing.
On top of the gate, there is a board, it shows the whole family tree of the Mewar dynasty. Here I come to know that the Mewar Dynasty is also connected somewhere back in time with the Nepal Dynasty.
We shut ourselves back into the car, but I am still lost in the dreamy scape. Inertia strikes me as I hit my back hard to the backseat of the car, realising the place has disappeared only to stay in my memories getting the name of "real paradise" from me.
We have stopped to have lunch and we order a Rajasthani thali. The waiter is soon here opening the door with the thali in his hands.
As the thali lands on the table, my feeding centre and satiety centre begins to work together. My stomach is already crumbling with hunger and now my eyes aren't able to cover the whole of the thali at once, the circumference with which it covers the table with its attracting beauty is making me drool. I am already contended looking at it.
